Make an overview of your product’s layered impacts; align with your team about your ethical values and vision.
Use our suite of tools to create, connect, consider and re-think the social and ethical impacts of your product.
Receive ethical challenges in relation to your product. Understand and address them in a practical way.
The first part of the tool is about laying out your product, considering the ethical values you are trying to embed in it, and receiving possible ethical issues.
The second part of the tool is about moving from “issue” to “challenge” to action. We help you identify the key challenge(s) and give you tools to get at their roots.
When done, you can demonstrate not only how your product works, but also the values, aspirations and thought-provoking ethical issues you're considering in your process.
If you're a team working on a product, gather a group of at least three people with different roles and knowledge. For example: a product manager, a designer, a developer, the CEO. If you don't have clear roles in your team yet, try assigning roles to your teammates and ask them to put themselves in the shoes of that role.
The information you put here is private. You may want to share your stack with other teammates, investors, new employees or partners to share the inside of the product, convey the values behind your product, and continue to deal with the ethical issues as you develop your product.
